What is Joomla and Why Do I Need It?
On August 31, 2008 in General Thoughts
Joomla Training is in high demand as Joomla, an open source CMS, is quickly becoming the Content Management System of choice by the vast audience of website owners who are updating their sites to fit into a Web 2.0 framework.
Learning Joomla is easy with Joomla video tutorials, and Web 2.0 is a term used to describe the next-generation of websites. These 2.0 websites provide such functionality as the ability to add and upload their own content, as well as write reviews, share images, videos, post in forums, just about anything.
Joomla is an Open-Source (this means it’s free), Content Management System (CMS), which simplifies much of the technical tasks of running a website, and turns them into a simple to use interface where just about anyone can become an effective webmaster.
If you’re one of millions of businesses with a website which has been unchanged for several months, or worse, several years, you’re not alone. Over 50% of all internet websites are older, Static (meaning they don’t change), without any Web 2.0 features.
Joomla is an affordable alternative, it’s free, and Joomla has a very large user community. Joomla’s easy-to use “Administrator,” or “Backend” interface allows even the most novice user the ability to effectively manage their website.
Joomla has thousands of Extensions and Plugins to expand core functionality of the system to provide additional features and benefits. This means, you can quickly and easily add new features to your Joomla website simply by installing them via the simple to use Administrator.
Joomla’s built-in Search Engine Optimized linking system (this means the search engines love these types of sites) is managed automatically. You only need to add content, and provide some details about the content via the Administrator, and Joomla will produce well optimized links and titles, making your sites appealing and easily indexable to the search engines.
Visually, Joomla is just as stunning as any other website out there. With thousands of Free Joomla templates and several high-quality Joomla Template clubs, finding the perfect template for your site shouldn’t be a difficult task.
So let’s see, easy to use, search engine optimized, easily expandable, visually stunning, and it’s free. So why do you need Joomla?
Tips To Turning Around a Failing Home Based Business

Tips To Turning Around a Failing Home Based Business
Running a successful home based business isn’t always easy. It takes a considerable amount of discipline, at least a token amount of time, and some genuine persistency. Unfortunately when you don’t have a clue as to what it takes to run a work at home business discipline, time, and persistency don’t help much. There comes a time when you need help to get you back on track.
Every MLM company offers a different product line with different benefits so I can’t address each MLM business without writing a novel on the subject. What I can do is address the core of your MLM business – your downline.
The fundamental success of any MLM business opportunity built upon the idea of having a strong, successful downline. If you don’t already have this in place then you need to take steps to generate MLM leads and begin action immediately.
The fastest way to generate a list of network marketing leads is to purchase them from trusted MLM Lead Companies. These companies tend to be met with skepticism, but I can tell you from experience that many MLM Distributors have become rich off of the home business opportunity leads that they purchased from MLM Lead Companies.
Once you have anyone in your downline you need to begin the process of duplicating your success in their business. If you are able to acquire just one person in your downline then you have built a system that has been successful. You may need to improve your system to give you better results, but in the very least you can show your new downline what you did to recruit them.
Discuss your home business tactics with your downline and see what you come up with as a team. Don’t be afraid to try new things – they can’t hurt you any more than your previously failing business did. If you need to generate another list of MLM leads and Guaranteed Premium Signups quickly then place another order with your MLM Lead Company. They can be a great tool to keeping you afloat when you’re other soft lead methods aren’t working as planned.
The benefits to ordering your network marketing leads from a MLM Lead Company means you are placed in a position to grow your downline immediately.
Get high quality MLM leads that have asked to be contacted by you.The purpose of a MLM lead company is to do the qualifying for you. They market home based business opportunities on the internet and provide a qualifying survey or focus method to determine the leads who are serious about running a work at home business. These MLM leads have requested that someone contact them with more information about an opportunity to see if it is right for them.
Your leads are delivered to you within 24 hours. Get your leads when you are ready to take action – not weeks or months after you become disheartened with your lack of success. The timeline for delivery may change between various MLM Lead Companies but many will deliver your leads file within 24 hours
There may be times when you can afford to find your own leads and see what other methods work for you, but when your home based business is in trouble there is no faster, easier way to get qualified MLM leads who want to hear from you.
Of course if your business has been suffering from a lack of quality leads you may not have the money to invest very much into buying leads interested in a home based business opportunity. This is the best time to take a look at MLM Lead Companies. Most companies offer a variety of lead packages at different prices. Be sure to take a look at Aged Leads, and lead packages that are on sale.
Aged leads are MLM leads that have been qualified but they are considered past their ‘prime’ marketing time. Many successful MLM Distributors have recruited their downlines from Aged Leads, and they are often sold at a fraction of the cost of regular or Real Time Leads.
When you don’t have a lot to spend you won’t just buy the first package you see because it’s fast and easy. Take the time to see what lead package works best for you.
What is an Autoresponder?
On August 31, 2008 in General Thoughts
First, What is an Autoresponder?
An Autoresponder is an email system that allows you to tell it what emails to send out and when. Essentially it’s a Sequential, Automated Email system. You write the emails you want it to send out, tell it the timeframe to send each email out, then you get people to either send a blank email to your Autoresponders email address, complete a form on your website or click on a button that automatically sends your email address to the responder which starts the sequence.
An Autoresponder is basically your secretary. The nice thing is that it works for you 24-hours a day 7-days a week, 365 days a year. However, an Autoresponder is much more than a “stupid” email system. It can capture names, user locations, and other information, which can then be used in your responder to personalize emails to thousands of people.
Why should you use an Autoresponder?
There are many reasons WHY you should use an Autoresponder. let’s do a little brain storming session to come up with ways to use one.
You get a lot of email asking the same questions about your product or service. Setting up an Autoresponder “F.A.Q” to answer these questions while personalizing the message to each individual. You sell products or services on your website.
Your visitors aren’t converting into paying customers, Setup a FREE email course on a topic your market would be interested in and have a pop-up or form to capture their information. Every single visitor to your website can now be offered something or FREE. Turning you into the expert on the topic!
After someone buys your product/service you want to keep in contact with them. You want to let them know of updates, additions and changes to your product/services. Of course you want to offer them additional products related to their main purchase.
Since the 80/20 rule states that 80% of your sales come from 20% of your customers you should be offering them discounts on future purchases or other related products/services or you are losing money.
You are running a contest. Maybe you’re giving away gift certificates or a cash prize. Set up an Autoresponder to grab visitor’s information. Offer them deals and update them on new products. Tell them who won and what they won.
It’s a statistical fact that 50-80% of your sales will not come on the first visit to your website. These sales will come after the 5-7th contact with the visitor. If there’s no way to keep in touch with past visitors then you just lost them as potential customers.
The list can be endless, so I think you got idea
Who needs to use autoresponders?
* Dentists can send out notice for dental cleanings
* Theaters can provide show times and event schedules
* Garages can send reminders for Oil Changes
* Appliance services can send warranty service reminders
* Churches can send choir practice reminders
* Schools can send field trip reminders
* Teachers can send PTA reminders Sending product updates
* Online marketers can send training manuals and free ecourses
And many more …the list is endless!
If you have gotten this far you already know at least one reason you need an autoresponder. Autoresponders help you save time in many ways and can be used for many different occasions, from prospecting to sales, from reminders to FAQs.
How Open Ebook’s autoresponers is different from others?
Some Autoresponder services will get your attention and subscription by offering you free or cheap prices on their starter packages (like silver, gold and platinum versions), they will give you limited versions of autoresponders with every different package, but when your business grows and you will need more features you will have to upgrade to more expensive package and of course pay more.

What Exactly Are Penny Stocks?
On August 30, 2008 in General Thoughts
Strictly speaking, penny stocks are stocks that the beginning investor, in many cases, can actually afford to purchase. You discover that penny stocks are especially in new or up and coming companies or companies that are on their last leg and treading water. This doesn’t mean that even those companies that have fallen off the big lists aren’t worthy investments, all the same they have been known to pick themselves up, reinvent themselves, and find themselves back on the big lists. For the sake of this article however, penny stocks are sometimes big companies going through a downward spiral, which makes them, just like the new companies, somewhat of a risk.
The SEC or Securities and Exchange Commission classifies penny stocks as those that sell for less than $5 a share. Of course other exchanges consider those selling for less than three dollars or even one to be penny stocks. Essentially, penny stocks are those that are not exchanged on the major stock exchanges such as NYCE, AMEX, are NASDAQ. It really depends upon the exchange in which you are trading. Penny stocks are a little more risky than many of the rest however for good reason. Just as they are very risky however, they are also quite profitable for those who manage to trade penny stocks successfully.
The risks in penny stocks go well beyond the obvious and are part of the reason that payoffs are so rewarding for those who are fortunate. There is very little skill that goes into successfully trading penny stocks but a lot of luck. If you are a gambler at heart then this is definitely your sort of investment. It is very important however that you enter into penny stocks trading with the firm understanding that you aren’t likely to be successful. In fact, chances are good that you will lose as much as you make from the prospect. There are those however, who have managed to defy the odds and win quite handsomely in the game we’ve come to know as penny stock trading.
A few things you will want to keep in mind before you begin trading in this highly volatile market include the following. First of all, penny stocks are not like regular stocks where they are heavily traded and there is almost always someone waiting in line to purchase. When you decide to sell it could be a while before a buyer comes along. This means that penny stocks are not the most liquid stocks on the planet and if you need quick access to your money this is definitely not the stock for you.
Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to penny stocks is that there is often very little information on these companies. Unless you have excellent research skills and the time and energy to put them to use for your trading endeavors you are very unlikely to find much background and financial information on these companies as opposed to many publicly traded companies that are pretty much required to open their books to investors. This is dangerous to investors because knowledge is important and schemes are plenty.
Every penny you invest in penny stocks should be a penny that you are very well prepared to loose and perfectly happy to earn a return with. You could hit the lottery on your penny stock investment and earn literally three to four (or more) times what you invested in your stocks. Chances are that the opposite will be the case however and you will lose your investment. As long as you are prepared to deal with the consequences and allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised when your trades pay off you might be the perfect person to trade in the penny stock market. When making your decisions about the types of stocks, bonds, or funds you wish to include in your portfolio you may want to include a few penny stocks for the sake of diversity and to risk a small sum of money on a long shot. You never know when those long shots will pay off.

Dog Training Made Fun-Find Out How!
On August 29, 2008 in General Thoughts
Dog training does not have to be an excruciating painful task, it can actually be quite enjoyable, if it is done appropriately. It is always very important for a dog owner to understand that dog training is not going to happen overnight, it will in fact take a little bit of time, which means patience is an absolute must.
With the right amount of knowledge and a really good attitude, your dog could eventually be the best and most trained dog around in your area, which could really give you something to brag about right. Everyone that owns a dog really does want their dog to be well behaved and for their dog to listen to their commands, but nobody seems to want to put in any amount of work in order to really make this happen. It is so funny, it seems that most people just expect that their dog will just automatically listen to their commands, maybe if they scream it at them or whip their behinds.
It is so important to realize that it just does not really work this way people. In order to have a well trained dog that does listen to your commands, you will absolutely have to gather up some correct information on different dog training tips that can help you throughout this process, or else it probably will not happen for you.
Instead of looking at this as a dreaded task, look at it as an opportunity for you and your dog to become closer and while this is happening both of you will begin trusting one another much more and a special bond will begin being created as well. Dog training will be a time when you and your dog will be spending a great deal of time with one another, which is always a great thing. One reason for so many different kinds of dog behavior problems is because they are lonely, nobody to play with, not getting enough attention, which is why spending time with your dog is so very important.
Let your dog know how very proud of him you are anytime that he does something worth rewarding, even if it is just something small really. The more you praise them, the more likely they will be to continue their good behavior for you. Have fun with your pooch, try throwing a ball for him and letting him go and get it and bring it back to you. Each time that he brings it back to you and lets you have it, really brag on him. This quickly turns into a new little game for you to play with one another and is really a fun way for you and your dog to pass some time.
You could be using dog training techniques on your dog and not even realize it, that is always a great thing right. You and your dog will be much happier in the end thanks to you giving him the attention that he requires and applying dog training techniques on him every single chance that you do get with him.
An Alternative Glaucoma Treatment
On August 28, 2008 in General Thoughts
My grandmother wasn’t impressed when I told her I had bought some bilberry for her to try and treat her glaucoma. She basically asked me if I was crazy and trying to kill her by buying some bush on the internet and then wanting her to drink it like it was Earl Grey tea.
I love my grandmother dearly but her glaucoma is getting worse and the glaucoma treatment options available are a little scary for her at her age (now 86 years old). I figured trying the bilberry would do no harm.
As an extract of the European blueberry, bilberry can be obtained via post and in some health food stores. It is often advertised as an antioxidant supplement to improve eye health. The ads say that it makes the capillaries in the eye walls stronger so is effective in protecting against glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. The jury is still out on this natural glaucoma cure. There is evidence showing that bilberry may improve night vision and recovery time from glare but not much evidence showing it as an effective treatment for glaucoma.
My grandma was all over me asking if this bilberry stuff I had bought for her was FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved. I told that no it wasn’t and she then proceeded to harangue me on the fact that if the FDA has not tested homeopathic remedies for safety the user is at risk. She also proceeded to lecture me on the fact that homeopathic remedies sometimes do not contain consistent ingredients , or that the dosage recommendations are sometimes inaccurate. I agreed with everything she said but told her that if she didn’t try new things then she would be stuck complaining for the rest of her life.
Disclaimer: It is always best to take the medical advice of your own physician as they know you best.
Really tired but here we go
On August 27, 2008 in General Thoughts
Hi
to all the men/women who fish or anglers out there which ever you prefer to be called. I would just like you to know about an interesting site a good friend of mine let me know about .We are both keen fishermen so here it is TFG fishing gear.I fish for essox mainly and he tends to fish for any type of carp.Obviously I can not go to some concrete puddle and pull out 15 pounders but he likes too but I deffinately wont hold that against him.I like to sit behind my bite alarms and rod pods and wait for a predator to turn up.
Getting back on track I could had to watch Matt Hayes pike video first as you would imagine and thought to myself how it was a really good start for a beginner into how to go about going after pike or I say essox and what a specimen he caught too. Matt also explains how to take the hooks from this beast of a pike without causing any injury to the pike or to yourself.
Being considerate I guessed just out of common courtesy to my friend I would have a laugh and have a at the fish they call by the name of carp.I have never really took much notice of it as carp do not swim in any of the rivers near me.Well guess what I may just have found the fish I will be after during the warmer months if you want to see why watch the Matt Hayes Fishing for Carp Video on the same site
Anyway enough of fishing my eldest son does Taekwondo and his instructor has a website so if anyone out there is interested in learning a martial art well this might be the one for you Taekwondo. He is a black belt and has won medals in the UK and Switzerland so the training must be pretty good He is learning Pal Jung Do Poomsae
Blogging Your Way to Success on the Internet
On August 27, 2008 in General Thoughts
Keyword density is how many times your keyword is placed in your article. Most use a percentage to determine how many times they will put a keyword in an article. Keywords are more important elements than other elements such as the title, description, Meta tags, alt tags, H1, H2, etc. The keywords are the connecting factor between the searchers using the search engines and your web page.
Search engines use links as a way to determine how valuable and relevant your site is and people use links to move from one site to another. Building quality links from relevant sources can go a long way toward improving your search rankings, but it can also drive tons of targeted traffic. Search for the next best place or location. Simply running an ad in an inexpensive location because you can’t afford a location that’s a good fit for you or your product is a waste of money and a foolish way to run your business. Search engines also rely on the articles submitted to their directories to rank websites during a search. The more articles that are in the directory, the better the rank.
Visitors to your site who read your blog will be allowed to read and comment on your entry, but you can control what is ultimately published. This means that if the criticism isn’t particularly constructive, or is too harsh, or is even inaccurate, you can always delete that comment. Visitors no longer sit passively in front of their flat screen monitors. They personalize their on-line experiences. Visitors to your blog can read these valuable comments and click on your affiliate links and you make some sales, which in turn will boost your internet home business .
Content rules supreme on the new Internet! So where do you find a lot of it and for very little money? Well, you actually have quite a few options here. Content that gets emailed to friends and passed along. A great way to get a ton of traffic is to get your content on social network media.
Additionally, these articles on your blog can help with your position in search engines, which in turn increase traffic to your website. By using targeted key words, you ensure that your blog posts or articles will help people find you when they search on search engines.
Adding comments to your blog opens up a host of problems: you will spend a great deal of time policing the posts, weeding out spam and trolls, and answering endless technical questions from registrants. Add a tight blogging schedule to that and you have all the ingredients for a social disaster. Don’t neglect your family, peers or even yourself.
Affiliate marketing can be a tough game to win, but once the traffic is established to your blog, the money will be well worth the extra time. To ensure a better chance of success, choose an affiliate niche that you understand well enough to produce the content for the blogs on your own. Affiliate links could also be included in your blog to earn extra income.
Services such as Google work hard at helping you sort through the clutter and confusion by delivering to you the most relevant search results based on your particular keyword searches. The tools offered by the search companies are becoming more and more intuitive each day, but ultimately these services must also work on their own business model to continue offering the service they do. Services include financial planning, legal services, and other.
Choose a popular topic, one that people are interested in. Unless, of course, you’re business is underwater basket weaving, in which case you should by all means write about it. Choose the types of writing you want to showcase and post relevant examples on your blog. This can be keyword articles, editorials, home business e-books , short stories, poems, novel excerpts - whatever you want to get paid for writing.
Construction loans and mortgage lending in 2008
On August 27, 2008 in General Thoughts
2008 is going to go down in the financial lending history as one of the best and worst for many reasons.
First of all the following construction loan lenders that are no longer with us or that have stopped providing construction loans are, Wamu, Indy Mac, First Horizon, National City, Bismark, Chase Wholesale just to name a few.
Its important to note that construction lending for home building is the backbone of America. If families were not able to build or buy a newly built home in America then America might as well become a third world country now and get it over with. Well for the first time in 2008 I can honestly say I see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Since my business is about providing construction loans, (Nationwide Construction Loans and California Construction Loans)I really have an invested interest in survival and knowing my future. Banks and lenders needed to stop the bad loan bleeding fast and the quickest way to do that was to eliminate stated income or at least make it very difficult to apply as stated income.
Stated income in my opinion was the key integrating factor for causing foreclosures. Stated income as some people call it “lying loans”. Yes you read that correctly people mistated their income in order to obtain a mortgage. The happened all across the board from sub prime loans to refinances, purchase loans and even construction loans.
If you want to obtain a home loan of any kind in America today you need to prove your income and now that it’s become the norm I’m starting to see the banks settle down. The rest of 2008 and 2009 may become one of the best years in financial history now that all lenders are providing loans based on honesty and reality.
